Revival centre church was organized in the year 1971 as the first Malayalam fellowship in Hyderabad, India. It started as a prayer group with 3 members. As there was no permanent church building, the meetings were held in the residence of one of the church member. Later this was shifted to one rental room in Sanatnagar. By the grace of God church started growing and many believers from different part of the city gathered for worship.
In 1974, a plot was purchased in Fathenagar and a small building was constructed.
This was dedicated by Late Pr.P.J Daniel. From then worship was held in this building till 1997. God blessed the church and multiplied it. Since the existing building had space limitation, a new church building was constructed and dedicated by Pr. M.A Thomas.
The first appointed pastor of this church was Pr. A.G.Thomas who took the charge of the church in 1973. From 1973 to Sept 2000, ten Pastors served the Lord through this church.
In the year 2000, Pr. Mathew George who was earlier an ICPF worker, was appointed as the Pastor of this church. Pr. Mathew George and his family took up the charge of the church as a great and challenging mission for God. They have been a source of motivation and spiritual inspiration for the young and old alike.
Since 18th Oct 2006, Revival center is affiliated to the South India Assemblies of God (SIAG) and from then the church was named as Revival Centre A.G church.
Under the leadership of Pr. Mathew George, we have a group of talented, spirit filled musical group known as [RAYS]. This team leads the worship services in our church.
Though the church started as a Malayalam prayer group, it grew to be a multilingual church. We have Sunday worship services being conducted in English, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu at various [Timings]. Presently the church has six outstation work led by our [Evangelists]. Apart from this, Sunday school, Youth fellowship, Ladies meeting, Kids meeting are also being conducted on a regular basis. The Lord has been blessing this church through various [charity works], outreach programs, hospital visits and orphanage visits.
The word of God says that “Without a vision the people perish….”.In 2005, the Holy Spirit revealed the Lord’s plan of increasing the strength of the church to 5000 by 2015. Thus began the [VISION 5000]. The church, in one accord started working together towards the fulfillment of this vision.
With the growing members, there arose the necessity to expand our church building. With the prayers, cooperation and goodwill of the many people in and outside the church, a new hall was constructed on the first floor of the same church building. On 15th Aug 2007, this new hall was [dedicated] by Rev.Dr.G.E.Peter, superintendent of SIAG.
As said in Bible- 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”
All glory and honor to Our God alone –Amen!!
